About the Course

Are you looking to advance your practice and learn more about yoga, but don't have the time for a full Teacher Training Program?

Join us for an Advanced Yoga Immersion program starting in February 2023. This two month program foundational program will meet four times and is designed to give students a deeper understanding of the 8 limbs of yoga, including the philosophy, history, pranayama, meditation, and asana — as well as provide students with tools to develop and advance their own practice.

Dates:

  • February 22nd (5-7pm) on Zoom

  • February 25th (10am-4pm) at YogaSource

  • March 22nd (5-7pm) on Zoom

  • March 25th (10am-4pm) at YogaSource

Students will practice advanced alignment-based asana each morning and dive into discussions, lectures, and hands-on skills labs each afternoon. Outside of our in person sessions, students will receive prompts and homework to deepen their learning of yoga.

Topics Covered:

  • Advanced asana, pranayama, and meditation practices

  • Functional anatomy and alignment of specific postures

  • History of yoga and the influence of different cultures on yogic practices

  • Philosophy of yoga including the Yoga Sutras

*Please note, this training does not prepare you or certify you to teach yoga, pilates, sculpt, or other strength-only classes. This training will focus on alignment-based practice.

**This training will have an enrollment minimum of 10 students. If the minimum is not met, this training may be postponed.
